An Urban myth, of just a few years ago is that heavy glass shower doors are way to difficult for the non-professional to install. But, when we hired a group of lawyers and doctors, they actually made a mess. It turns out that the installation is actually simple. There are just a few tricks and warnings you need to know. First time installers often do a better job than jaded, bored, dissillusioned, slightly enebriated, and nearly homeless glaziers. (Just speaking for myself)
If you have a recollection of drilling holes in tile and if you have used a level before, then you have an excellant chance of success, without calling a "professional". Many times your contractor will do this for you.
