NeoAngle with Full Height Panels

Notes on the Side Panel

Shower 1035

Neo-Angles are one of the more common shower door types.

We need centerline dimensions (centerline of the glass which is most likely on the centerline of the curb.)
And we need (when you are ready to order) how out of plimb or level each wall , curb, and ceiling surface is. We figure out the glass sizes from there. Acurate measuring is only necessary when ordering and then acuracy is the key to an easy install.

1036 - Hinge Panel is full height.
Shower 1034 - Glass to Glass hinges are expensive mostly because they require two notches per hinge instead of one.

If the side panels go to the ceiling and the door does not, and the angle between the door and the side panels is not 135 degrees, then you might think that the adjustable glass to glass hinge will work but it's not perfect. There will be an unsightly gap at the hinge. See the photo at left.

The 135 degree hinge is formed to line up with the mitered edge. If the angle between the hinge panel and the door is less than 135 then you could use this hinge and a vinyl strike on the other side to make the door swing outward only. Then the door will line up when it is closed.
If the angle is greater than 140 then you might have to make the door go full height and use top and bottom pivots.

NEWS FLASH: Just came out, still warm from the forge: Adjustable 135° Glass to Glass hinges. This solves the problem for doors that are near 135° but not perfect. So nevermind the photo to the right.
