Glass
Railing Posts are generally very expensive. These are no exception. Plus I'm not sure if these are really hand rail posts. They have no provision for a hand rail. But we have them on our shopping cart.
When we do a glass railing with stainless posts we use schedule 40 pipe, which is very expensive and heavy duty. We add the Z-Brackets and base fitting, which can be a facia mount or surface mount. The hand rail should be bolted to the glass. This is not an inexpensive solution.
There are quite a few
companies that specialize in this kind of product. We try to do heavy glass jobs and not difficult machining projects.
But here's a question: We could import light weight posts that look nice and cost very little and require a hand rail anchored at both ends for safety (my opinion). Is there a market for that? Would these even be legal? It's not in our glass book. |
