The Glass is set into the top U-Channel and swung into the bottom.

The glass is then slid into the side U-Channel and the gaps between panels are equalized. We siliconed with black silicone. Somehow black seems to disappear better than clear.

This is Long's Drugs in Berkeley. The ground floor is 1/2" glass with scratch resistant coating from Glass Scratch Remover's in Fremont.
We used UCSA3812SL with brushed stainless cladding for the top and the bottom. The sides of the glass are brushed nickel U-Channel.

This is another choice for the bottom of the storefront. With reversible shoe turned up, the over-all height is 4-1/4". Also available is 6" and 10". This metal matches the bottom rail of heavy glass doors and the reversible shoe allows you to align the top of the sill with the top of the bottom rail of the door. Know what I mean?
