Why
Use Stainless Barn Door Style Exposed Roller Hardware:
Larger Rollers, larger bearings, larger doors, longer lasting.
Easy to install, adjust, replace, and clean. No tarnish, corrosion,
or rust. Takes up very little real estate compared to swinging
doors. Looks great.
Why buy Strap Rollers: The Strap roller is
possibly the most common Barn Door Style Roller System. It's
really a matter of looks but sometimes the other rollers will
not allow the door to come as close to the wall as one might
like. If your door is from 5/16" to 1 3/4" thick we
can set up the strap roller to work well. This page is for Strap
Rollers with Hollow Bolts for door from 1" to 1 3/4".
Thinner doors should use the hardware
for glass.
Why buy from Wilson Glass:
1. Selection. We have Strap rollers, like all
our rollers, with safety pin and without. We
also offer polished stainless and brushed stainless.
Our stainless is 304 stainless with marine grade 316
stainless also available.PLUS we have the parts to
adapts these for Glass and Wood Doors.
2. Price: We have our parts made in China as
opposed to Germany, and we pass the savings on to our customers.
We are often 1/3 the price of similar systems.
3. Quality: Highest possible quality, truly
approaching perfection in strength, workmanship and finish.
4. Warrantee: Two year warrantee on parts.
You don't have to go to some distant manufacturer or even have
your invoice. Wilson Glass takes care of it. |

What
is the safety Pin?
Wilson Glass offers a choice.
WITH SAFETY PIN: The advantage is that the door can't be lifted
off the track. I haven't heard of a door accidentally falling
off the track but the safety pin will prevent that too. The disadvantage
is that the track has to be through mounted and we can't drill
the holes. So the holes are drilled at the factory. So the mounting
brackets will not line up with your studs. So you have to have
blocking between the studs.
WITHOUT SAFETY PIN: The advatage is that the wall hangers can
sit under the track and can be mounted where your studs are.
You can't mount
the hardware directly on drywall.

FEATURE: Rollers come with set screw for fine adjustment
up to plus or minus 1/8"
BENEFIT: Slight adjustments to level and align the doors
are easy. |
|
FEATURE: Two kinds of bolts are included.
SURFACE Bolts require a simple hole through the door
FLUSH Bolts require a more complicated hole but look cool and
are flush to the surface. |
|
| 4. |

Hollow Bolts with Flush Caps and Surface Caps are
both included.
If you use the surface cap then either side of he bolt can face
out.
The new Hollow Bolts are 1/2" Diameter - a little beefier than
the old 3/8" ones
The old ones will fit CRL's Laguna Rollers, in case you want to
buy these separate.
The Flush Cap comes with a black plastic ring shown in line 3
The threads are 8 mm. |
We
have two sizes of Hollow Bolts:: 40 mm (1 9/16")
Hollow Bolt and 32 mm (1 1/4") Hollow Bolt
40 mm = 1 9/16"
This would work for 1 3/8" thick door up to 1 3/4" or
longer with Flush Bolts.
32 mm = 1 1/4" length. This would work for 1" thick
doors to 1 3/8".
Thinner Door can use
the Glass mounting hardware with a longer screw for the Flush
Bolt. The surface cap can't have a longer screw as it seems to
be machined out a solid chunk of stainless. |

Mount Hangers with Strap Rollers is possible, but not done very
often. There are also end of track wall hangers which would work
for situations between two walls.

CHOICE
OF STOPS |

Cylindrical Stops |

We also have these stops, if you prefer.
They actually have black bumpers, not white. |

NEW PART: One of these is now
included with each roller for wood doors.
Some one complained that the roller would tilt occasionally,
probably because the mounting holes were too big(?) So we had
this clip made to be fastened to the top of the door, hidden,
and keep the roller from ever tilting. If you bought these rollers
from us in the past and need these, give us a call and we'll
send them to you.
We also include clear plastic washers which will stick to the
wood and metal over time. This also prevents slipping.
