The transom is should be the width of the door and a Maximum of 12" tall, unless using Prima Pivots for the transom.
The hinging brackets look great so long as notches are used and not holes as some manufacturers advise. But the brackets are nothing too complicated. They are two wall mount brackets with a small bolt and washer.

If you want a really big transom, you can use the Prima Pivots on the wall and glass to glass.
