The safety pin will keep the door from being knocked or lifted off the track. Rollers with safety pin require DRILLED TRACK, which we have in one foot increments from 5 to 10 feet. However the holes will not hit your studs, so you need blocking behind the sheet rock.
   Rollers without safety pin can use undrilled track which is American made and comes up to 20 feet long. We cut it to size. Because the hangers are undermount they can be positioned over your studs. We have a variety of hangers in both drilled and undrilled versions for different thicknesses of doors.
   Large heavy doors don't need the safety pin as much as light weight, narrow, or glass doors. We have most rollers in both versions and we recommend using the safety pin. The double rollers are for 400 lb doors and we only stock double roller with no safety pin. It takes just a few days to get double rollers with safety pin.
