Installation Overview: Locate the height of the track, install the track, install the fixed panel and install the door. Then you have to take it all apart and make sure nothing will slip by using the epoxy.

The fixed panel sits in a U-channel at the bottom. It could also be held by clips of your choosing. There is nothing on the sides of the fixed panel. The top is held by the attachment to the track and the track is fastened to the wall.
The fixed panel has 3/16" gap inside the U-Channel (or clips/clamps/brackets), and 1/8" gap on the side. We give you clear plastic setting blocks to adjust the height of the fixed panel within the U-channel. The U-channel doesn't need to be screwed down to the curb. It is siliconed for ease of positioning. Clamps or Brackets need to be screwed down to the curb.
The nominal height of the system is measured from the curb to the top edge of the fixed panel. So the fixed glass is 3/16" shorter than the nominal height.

The height of the track from curb to centerline of the track, when using Regular Direct Rollers, is the Nominal Height minus 3 3/8".

Location of track relative to Curb: The system is about 3 1/2" wide with 1/2" glass and the track is basically in the middle between the two pieces of glass. So the track would be mounted in the middle of the curb at the appropriate height.

See the Cutting Instructions.

Glass Template for Large Rollers YM-09

clearExploding Glass: Tempered Glass is very strong but the edges are sensitive. Never let the edges of the glass touch the tile. Always set the glass on wood or rubber blocks. If the glass ever even touches the tile, the glass may get chipped, but even worse, it may explode. That is one of the major differences between glass and wood. Wood seldom explodes. Sometimes you can bang on glass with a sledge hammer and it won't break or throw it off the truck onto concrete. Other times it seems to break in your hands. People will swear they didn't hit anything but I've noticed the glass seems to only explode when they are going through a doorway.
clearTo avoid exploding glass you must never let the glass touch the tile. Duck tape on the bottom corners will help. When setting the glass into the opening, it really helps to have one person with a suction cup on the outside and another person on the inside guiding the bottom of the door. Use the wooden shims when setting the glass in the opening.

clearNOTE: If you have glass tiles, most likely you will not be able to drill holes or mount anything on the glass tiles without breaking them. You should replace the tile that holds the track with a sufficiently strong ceramic tile.

Mounting the Track: Measure up from the center of the curb. Mark a hole 3 3/8" below the nominal height of the system. Drill a 1/4" hole in the tile on each side and insert plastic anchor with hammer. Don't break the tile with the hammer. Cut off the part of the anchor that will not go in using a chisel and hammer. Attach the base plate to the End-Of-Trak-Wall-Mount-Hangers to this screw, centering them as much as possible. Slide the End-Of-Track-Wall-Mount-Hanger Housing over the end of the track. Hold the track in position and slide the housing over the base plate. Tighten set screws.

If the YM-ZG-FA barrel won't slide onto the track as show at right then you may need to cut another 7/16" off the track length. It would be best to cut 1/4" off both ends so that you gain adjustment in the hole locations. Check both YM-ZG-FA's as only one needs to slide over.

NEVER LET THE GLASS TOUCH THE TILE. Always set it on short 2x4's, never set it on cement or tile. It might explode. See warnings on this page.

Fixed Panel: Fasten YM-GD-03 Brackets to track. Set U-Channel on curb. Set Fixed panel in U-Channel. Lean fixed panel up to the brackets and fasten the fixed panel in place. After everything is positioned correctly, then you will take the fixed panel back off and silicone under the U-Channel and run a small bead on the inside leg of the U-Channel to seal the glass. You can also put the glass in dry and run a small bead along the edge between glass and U-Channel and then wipe off the excess with a razor blade.

Attaches Glass to Track. There are Allan Screws on both sides.

NEVER let the glass touch the tile.

Door: Fasten top rollers to door, not the lower rollers. Set door on the track. Adjust the door height with the rollers to get 3/8" between bottom edge of door and the curb.
There are different plastic inserts in the LS107 for different thicknesses of glass. Mark the location for the Bottom Floor Guide: LS107BS, which goes next to the fixed panel at the overlap between the door and fixed panel. Mark the position the bottom guide where it looks good and door is vertical. Take the door off. And drill the holes for the bottom guide. The screws are only 1" long so you don't need to drill much more than that. Mount the bottom guide with plastic anchors and a bit of silicone to keep water out of the holes.

EPOXY: The End of Track Wall Mount Bracket base Plate tends to slip down on the single mounting screw. So once you have the height determined (gap at bottom of door has to be big enough to slide easily through bottom guide) take it all apart and mix up the Epoxy Putty and push some in the slotted hole above the screw head on both ends of the track.

Set Door back on track and install the lower rollers.

The EPCO Handle has to be glued in place with silicone. Modern silicone takes at least two days to dry in this kind of setting. So the blue tape has to stay on the door for two days.

The Modified P990 is applied above the bottom guide. This directs the water back into the shower. If your curb is sloped to the inside, then this should be all the water proofing you need on the curb.

BULB SEAL BUMPER: Using the red roll of clear high bond double face tape, apply the bulb seal to the edges of the door. Wash the glass and vinyl bulb seal with alcohol first. The bulb seal acts as a bumper for the glass against the tile.
